 MICHAEL CHRISTIAN MARTINEZ

In a tropical country like the Philippines, MICHAEL CHRISTIAN MARTINEZ  emerged to be the first and the only skater from the Southeast Asia who qualified and competed in the 2012 Youth Winter Olympic and 2014 Winter Olympic games. As he ranks 5^th in the world junior level and 31^st in the senior level category, he has put the Philippines, a country without winters, on the center-stage of figure skating.   

This 17-year old lad who was born on November 4, 1996 in Muntinlupa City stands 5’7” and weighs 132 lbs. He likes dancing, computer games and origami. He went to Muntinlupa School for Child where he garnered his secondary education. Although he is not gifted with chiselled chest, bulging biceps, and awesome abs because of the nature of the sport he’s in, he undoubtedly possesses an angelic face that sizzles with unlimited discharge of a ten kilo-watt smile and a look of innocence that gives everyone the illusion of a real angel personified. His eyes flush an ocean of emotion and regal bearing as he glides and executes the triple axel jumps on the ice in his bladed skating shoes creating a picture of perfect Olympic execution. 

Alongside his very charming personality, feathers on his cap have elevated him into a newfound level of recognition and distinction.  He has received a number of citations and commendations from prestigious and prominent political and social organizations here and abroad. Topping the list are Philippine Senate no less, National Youth Commission, Office of the President, The City of Carson, California, USA, and The Rotary Club of Greater Chino Hills, California USA among others. SM Supermalls calls him an OUTSTANDING GLOBAL PINOY, Philippine Media calls him THE GLODEN BOY OF PHILIPPINE SKATING, LORK OF THE RINK and MOST BEMEDALLED SKATER. He was also accorded as ASIA’s WONDER KID in Singapore in 2009, and was featured in DISNEY CHANNEL HIDDEN TALENT SHOW in 2009-2011.

His exceptional talents in skating and unparallel dedication to his craft enabled him to bring home 189 medals and trophies with 145 gold, 29 silver, 5 bronze, 1 pewter and 12 bronze pewter. He is expected to wave the Philippine flag again in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea and hopefully bring home the gold medal this time, God willing.

The phenomenal rise of this go-getter could be alluded to his humble beginnings, admirable discipline and pleasant disposition in life. As he continues to epitomize excellence at its best, he sets the boundaries of individual accomplishment for every Filipino to emulate affirming the statement of Randy David that there is Michael Christian Martinez in every Filipino.

Finally i had a chance na ma meet si Joshua, ang anak ni Kris Aquino kay Philip Salvador, mabait, tahimik at palangiti si Josh. Hindi na nga kami nahirapan sa kanya sa pag papapicture kasi alam na alam na nya ang kanyang angle at post.

I was amazed  in the  Celebrity Premiere Showing ng Ikaw Lamang last night (March 9,2014)  held at Trinoma Cinema 7.

 Sobrang Bumaha ng mga Artista, Movie Press, Producers, Directors,Clients, Friends and Movie Fans ang kakaibang teleserye na handog ng Dreamscape Entertainment Television.

Nagsimula ang preview ng 7pm ,showcasing new teleseryes of ABSCBN and Dreamscape, This includes Dyesebel, Mirabella and i forgot the other serye starring Bea Alonzo .Then immediately followed by  Ikaw Lamang.

Gustong gusto ko ang pag build up nila ng story. Kudos sa Creative Team na gumawa ng isang makabuluhang story na ginampanan ng mga kilalang  child stars of the new generation, sila  Zaijian Jaranilla (as young Coco Martin), Xyriel Manabat (Young Julia Montes), Louise Javier (young Jake Cuenca), ,Alyanna Angeles (young Kim Chiu). Equal ang distribution ng bawat roles kaya naman hindi nagsapawan ang exposure ng mga bata. Pinahanga ako ni Louise Javier sa kanyang portrayal ng role as  young Jake Cuenca ang laki ng kanyang improvement sa pag acting since Juan dela Cruz Teleserye .

Dahil ito ay love story, meron mga kilig moments, ang bawat linya na binabato ng mga bata.

Pero since ang King ng Philippine Teleserye nasi  Coco Martin ang bida,asahan na ang matinding drama ng seryeng ito.

GRAND, GLITTERY, AND GOLD AT MARRIOTT MANILA

Grand, Glittery, and Gold at Marriott Manila

It was a night of all things shining, shimmering, splendid as Marriott Hotel Manila’s associates – aptly called Brilliant Hosts – celebrated their Annual Party last February 10 at the Manila Ballroom. With the theme “Grand, Glittery, and Gold,” the hosts were in their best regalia as the men were dapper in their suits and tuxedos, while the ladies strutted their stuff in their beautiful flowing gowns. All of the hotel’s departments were divided into groups and were tasked to create a video presentation based on an era assigned to them, from the roaring 50’s to the modern 2000’s, whilst still staying true to the night’s theme. The Sales & Marketing and Engineering team defended their title and emerged as the champion for the 2^nd straight year with their rock-and-roll inspired 80’s music video, while the F&B Kitchen team won 2^nd place with their throwback 90’s entry and the Housekeeping and Laundry team bagged 3^rd place with their flashback 50’s short film.

Fritz Andal of the Engineering Department and Joanna Tiglao of the F&B Kitchen Department emerged as the Best Male and Female Performers respectively, while Cholo Martillo and Jane Manzanero, both from the Sales and Marketing Department, won as Male and Female Stars of the Night.

The video presentations as well as the individual winners were chosen by Mr. Ronan Capinding, Mr. Roly Halagao, and Mr. Paul Daza.
